Robin Hurley co-produced The Doors App in partnership with legendary Elektra founder Jac Holzman. Created in full cooperation with The Doors and their management, the App is a co-venture by Rhino Entertainment and the UK/US based developer Brandwidth.
Development on the ambitious project commenced in 2012. Since its release in March 2013, it has become the top selling music app released by Warner Music Group.
The App is an immersive experience into the history of The Doors, packed with exclusive features. It covers the founding of the band, their six classic studio albums, the infamous “Miami Incident,” and the legacy and legend of Jim Morrison. Included in the App are thousands of images, video and audio content, a map of key locations in Los Angeles, and graphics detailing the equipment the band used in the recording studio.
The App was updated following the sad passing of Ray Manzarek, adding a section devoted to the much-loved keyboard player and founding member of the band.
